Direct licenses + agreements

Apple, Amazon, Spotify, YouTube, TikTok, and more have agreements allowing us to collect all songwriter and music publisher royalties for our clients directly in covered territories outside the U.S. Coverage varies by service; YouTube is covered worldwide excluding Argentina.

Technology + data

Identify original recordings, covers, live versions, remixes, karaoke, 8-bit, and other versions of each composition, then claim and recover the royalties they earn.

Auditing

Reconcile usage and payments, identify missing recordings and unpaid royalties, and correct claims through the applicable digital service or collection system.

Staff + administration

Music experts who find all the recordings that exist of your works, maintain claims, resolve conflicts, and collect and recover your money.

Accounting + payments

Statements show source, country, usage, and gross amounts. Pay your firm, pay songwriters directly, or split an agreed commission. Use your branding or ours.

A dedicated synchronization team to pitch your music for placement in TV shows, commercials, movies, video games and more.

One agreement — You engage Word Collections once.
Choose the scope — Add the artists, works, services, countries and rights you want covered.
Choose the money flow — Direct Word Collections to pay all royalties to you, or pay some portion to you and the rest to the songwriter, label, distributor or anyone you designate. Automatically split the royalty and commission.
Change it at will — Add or remove artists and works by schedule, adjust services and territories, or terminate on 30 days’ notice. No multi-year commitment and no retention period.

Choose global publishing administration or select individual services and territories. Existing PRO and CMO affiliations can remain in place for income outside that scope. We can also work alongside an existing publishing administrator when it authorizes us to handle selected digital rights.
